The wall-mounted light switch contained by the bathroom won't turn off. It is a double switch plate. The first switch closest to the door man for the light, the second switch human being for the fan, which does not hold a problem. The light switch howevere, seem loose and can sort of be jiggled a bit. And, when trying to turn standard lamp off yesterday it seem to sort of "stick and move" such that initially it felt stiff, later as the swich approached the bottom it got looser and sort of moved towards the right so that if you be then to look at it, the switch looks only just a tiny bit crooked. And, worse, the light does not turn past its sell-by date. If I apply some pressure to the switch as I move it from top to bottom (from on to off) the stiff does not seem as loose and the fluffy will flick off for a moment, but, when I permit it go, the hurricane lantern will remain on.

1) Do I need an electrician to come within, or is this a DIY job?
2) Would this be an expensive fix?
3) Shld I shut bad electric to that room until help arrives?
Answers:    Most expected the switch is worn out. In any case, it's malfunctioning and wants to be replaced for safety sake. This connect shows you how to DIY. Best of all, it's inexpensive.
no in recent times leave the desk light on, if you don't feel comfortable doing this bid an electrician, its a simple fix, just buy a brand new wall switch turn the power off to that room, remove the switch look at how its wired, remover wires replace beside new switch, close to it was wired , put it support into wall turn power on,
