Light fixtures stays on!! near 3 blk rope 2 wht chain and 1 green cable? the new restrained fixture has 1 blk, 1 wht and 1 copper...

the new restrained fixture has 1 blk, 1 wht and 1 copper chain. i connected blk wire from bedside light to 1 blk wire to ceiling ( this be the only one that worked) and 1 white to 1 white cable in ceiling (only one that worked)...presently the light doesnt turn rotten??? this is a 3 light bulb fixture, the outmoded fixture was a 1 bulb. when i removed the feeble fixture it was connected white to white by a screw, and the ground lead was connected to buoyant as well by a screw. the black wires be taped and tucked contained by celing not even connected??? i tried all 3 blk wires seperately but desk light didnt come on with 2 of them; i did equal with the 2 white one. in attendance are only 2 specific wires that work. THE WALL switch have a black and green wire connected to it.
Do not use the green(bare) wire as a hot telecommunication you could get someone hurt. Call an electrician, it's not worth risking injury or fire. A simple mistake could be your concluding.

If the antediluvian fixture worked then the electric wiring must have be done wrong from the switch. That is probably why it was wired differently than usual on the outdated one. Try connecting just similar to the old one be done. Sounds like they didn't even use the black so don't use the black at adjectives and see if that works. Call and ask an electrician if not sure after troubleshooting, better risk-free than sorry!

Nothing more frustrating than to get something latest and not be able to seize it to work.
Answers:    follow equal old passageway connect the black wire of the hot light to the ground cable. and the white to the white. this is not perfectly officially recognized but it well work.
