Okay, here's a weird one for you. Last dark I noticed that the ceiling adjectives around the lightbulb/light fitting in my bedroom is adjectives blackened and burnt looking. Some of the plastic of the fitting is also slightly blackened... There are two lantern fittings in the room, but individual one of them has this. I'm using relatively a low wattage bulb, so I don't think to be exact the problem. I was a short time ago wondering if this could mean here is bad electrical system or something there? Is it predictable to be a fire hazard? Any philosophy, anyone?
Answers:    No blinking or flickering or any other symptom when the light is on? If not, I am guessing it's majority dirt that seems to be attracted to the nouns around certain street lamp fixtures. Have it looked at by a qualified electrician if you would feel better nearly it. But in my experience, it is nil.

In my experience, the people within Loews and Home Depot know barely more roughly electricity than the people on here. And that's not much.
It sounds close to a short in the fixture so replace the fixture NOW! If you do it yourself, brand sure the breaker is off to the fixture. There will usually be 2 screw behind the bulbs. Loosen those and drop the fixture down. There should be 2 or 3 wirenuts on the wires. Unscrew those while holding the fixture. It should very soon be completely loose. Take the fixture to Home Depot or Lowes and show it to someone in the electrical department. New fixtures are cheaper than a fire!
