Leaking commode? It seems that my commode is continually leak water and I'm wondering...
It seems that my commode is continually leak water and I'm wondering if something wants to be replaced. Besides wasting water it is an expense.
Answers: first rotten, do you hear the water nourishing in the toilet when you haven't flushed? by what you are proverb i am thinking yes... if you had dampen on the outside I'm pretty sure you would have asked this query a little different. first things first, if you enjoy food coloring of any sort put a few drops in the reservoir and stir around to even the color. now loaf and see if the color comes through to the bowl. if it does then bingo, the flapper is leak. that would be the only none noticeable leak you could own. get the entitle of the maker of the toilet, and if you don't see it on or around the bowl, look beneath the tank lid and most expected you will see it there. except, when you go to your local hardware store consent to the associate know that and he will help you pick out the general type flapper. he will also be glad to explain how to change that flapper, don't be afraid of asking give somebody the third degree to the associate. i hope this helps and delighted plumbing.....
If the leaking is coming from inside the cistern then it will most credible be the tank flap and it can be purchased at ny local hardware store
