I have a exquisite banister in my home. Unfortunately, my kitty cat think it's a scratching post!! Now I've get deep, exceptionally thin, kitty pin scratches within my banister. Is there any opening to somehow cover these up so the wood doesn't look so gnarled? The wood is stained, so the lighter wood underneath shows thru the scratched areas. :(
