My kitchen sink makes a gurgling rumbling when I use my down stairs washing device . Is this a venting problem??
I used to hear the gurgling rumpus in the upstairs bathroom sink, but I snaked out the vent pipe (from the sink, not the roof) and the noise stopped, Could this be matching thing beside the kitchensink /washing machine? Is this a career a layman can fix himself? Or is the issue related to something else

Probably plugged ( or partially plugged) vent. Try snaking the entire length from the roof.
