I recently ourchased a kiddy pool (152 gallon) for my nephew to play in when he comes over. The problem that I am running into presently, is the bottom is all slippy with a type of trash and the water is turning green! I have dumped it a few times and refill it but it hap[pens again about a week later! I don't want to hang on to dumping and refilling cause the dampen is always cold then plus man that will spike our wet bill. Any suggestions on what I can put in it to help hold the water good? Someone have told me either a little bleach or some brackish!
Don't sign out the water in for a complete week! That's gross. Please change the water every few days. If you do it contained by the morning, it should be a decent temperature by afternoon. Or he can run underneath the hose fountain while you fill the pool. Bleach is harmful to children, and they are exposed to adequate of it. Spring for the fresh water. It's better for your nephew. Get it changed!
you can procure a filtering system for it. Personally I can not tolerate bleach and I got my son for his pool (much larger one mind you_ but it be a copper/silver Colloidal generator and kept the pool nice with only blasting the pool next to chlorine once and the generator keep the pool nice the rest of the time.
Not sure if they make a mini one for your size pool
Answers: Add about 2 cups of bleach each week to stop algae growth.
