Answers: the mettal thingy goes down by the method first poke your finger in the rime tray to see if it has rime in it or not if then your not getting hose to it it is probably your filter but if it has rime it is your thaw . you see earlier it drops the ice it heat up the tray to loosen the ice
did you flip the metal "thingy"?
