I was within the garage, hit the trigger on a high-amp saw, and instantly all the lights and outlets within the garage, plus several more in the house and underground room near the garage, travel out. Seems totally obvious this is a blown circuit. So I check the breakers and... adjectives the breakers are fine. Double check, tripple check, have somebody else check- adjectives circuits are fine. None tripped.
As far as I can find, there are no GFI outlets on this circuit (house is from 1959, none of this paragraph has be rewired, plus I checked for GFI's anyway). Besides, it would be bizarre to have so heaps fixtures and outlets all wired through a single GFI outlet.
Did someone install a second circuit breaker panel somewhere I'm not finding? It seem impossible, because I'm sure I've blown a circuit using a saw in the garage back, and I reset it in the regular circuit breaker box. Besides, I'm sure here is no second breaker. Any ideas?
Answers: you could hold a burned neutral line, Start by pulling the outlet that the saw wsas plugged in. Then check adjectives other outlets as well as the indeterminate line going into thre breaker. . The circuit be over loaded and a connected wite was undermined. You may have to replace that outlet.
Sounds resembling it's time to rewire the house, you probably need to update it anyway so immediately is the perfect time. The breaker is fried by the sounds of it and you can use a sub panel to run your shop tools.
