I have a lemon refrigerator and the company don't come across to want to stand by their product. I'm tired of dealing with it.
Answers: It is not a problem near the freon. The problem is in the compressor. The grease in the compressor have to be at the bottom for distribution. If it's on it's side you could cause it to burn out. They can get something done an "appliance autopsy" on the compressor and tell what happen to it. If you do this to get a brand new one you will be stuck with it as they can prove the motive of the damage. If it is a lemon you will hold to keep combat them
When you lay a refrigerator on it's side the liquid freon can run backwards onto your compressor piston. You can not compress a juice and it can break your compressor. If you leave it standing adjectives for 30 minutes before plugging it within it will drain freon back rotten piston and it should run fine.
