I live in wisconsin and it is the limp of winter and my sump pump goes bad all the time what is the problem and how do i fix it it is driving me crazy
Answers: Is the sump pumping sea ? check and see. If it is, then it's drawing the marine from the surrounding ground around your basement and pumping it out approaching it's suppose to do. The freezing temps are pushing the water out.
Unless the pump is within open space beside no cover, perhaps due to extreme cold and when the pump is running creating roast, this can suck in moisture and the the stator may be drizzly.
motor need proper (baking for insulation) if you save using the pump it might burn, either procure the motor fixed or get a current one suitable for the weather, Good luck
