Is the Craftsman Entryease fingerprint keyless entry wipe compatible next to Wayne Dalton's iDrive Torquemaster? I recently ordered this fingerprint garage door starter (model# 53555) as well...

I recently ordered this fingerprint garage door starter (model# 53555) as well as the Craftsman Universal Receiver, 315MHz (model# 53757). Programing the fingerprint opening was straight forward. Unfortunately, I am have difficulties connecting the Univeral Receiver to my Wayne Dalton iDrive Torquemaster.

The instructions for the Universal Receiver is not very detailed. Here is the step for connecting the U.Receiver to the Motor part:

4. Connect the other end of the bell chain to the two motor unit terminal labeled "2" (white) and "1" (red), "common" and "command" or the terminals used for the push button control.

I am have difficulties figuring out where on earth to connect this end of the 2-strand bell rope to. Should it be connected to the Terminal Block (step 31, page 18 of the installation manual)?

Answers:    Yes (step 31).

Lotsa times we come across different manufacturers' wires with different color codes. This can find perplexing when you don't know the basics and if near are more than two wires.

THE IDENTIFIED WIRE is the common grounded (not grounding) lead. It is white, gray, clear with ridges on the insulation; it looks different from the others and have a solid color.

THE SWITCHED WIRE is the one that changes voltage or resistance when the switch is actuate. It can be any color, with or in need stripes--it's the pretty one.
