Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and you can pick up a digital multi-tester for a little over 20 bucks. Be sure you set the dial to AC. Most testers hold the AC voltages in red.Slect a voltage specifically higher than the one you want to interview. In other words my tester has 600 V AC and 200 V AC to check
