Is near a tool for taking the shield past its sell-by date copper line ?
yeah i suggest it is called a stripper. we used tthem in institution. just give it adjectives to me mate, I don't mind stripping it.
i made my own, used o piece of battern with a small hole drilled through it. knocked a stanley stick blade in to the battern so the tip of the blade would cut the the plastic casing as the line is pulled through. used zip ties to keep the blade contained by position, once the cable is pulled through its really easy to peel the copper away from the shell. if you can screw the battern to something secure its even better. we all use this method at work I own found A good hooked electrician's knife works the best once you figure out how to use the hook. The curve of the knife lets you ride down the copper and split past its sell-by date the insulation in one motion.

Answers: Yes it is a stripper and also has the facility to cut the wire. You can get hold of one from any hardware store.
Yes! but don't go to a hard ware store because you will reward though the nose for one. Go to a pound/ Discount shop in the elevated street and get one for a quid. My mate is an electrician and he's got a cheapo...he's have it ages and swears by it...you cannot get a better recommendation than that. Wire strippers are what you obligation.
Unless you want to remove all of the outer casing from seriously of copper wire, in which skin just throw it on a fire which will burn away the casing going away you with the copper from inside.
there is a commercial tool runs rotten hydrolics.
these are used for striping large underground or undersea reclaimed armoured cables.
yes their are tools to remove the PVC jacket from electrical cable there is also strippers for PYRO also this cable has a copper and silica outer. yes its call wire strippers,
but you can use side cutters by nipping the plastic coating and turning the cutters or if it only small houswhold wire you can use youre teeth?
If you're trying to salvage copper wire and resolve to go with the fire route be aware that the smoke from some of that insulation is extremely toxic. Make darn sure you receive far enough away that you aren't breathing any of it. Go to kleintools.com. In the catagory box select "knives and adjectives tools" Click special purpose knives. There you will find Cable-Sheath Splitting Knife. This is what electrical companies use to commercially remove the pvc jacket that is on twisted and solid strand copper. Hope this help.
if its for removing little bits to seize a connection use the stripper as they say if its for getting the copper put money on for scrap then own a fire and burn it off Get yourself a good style butchers gouge, a decent calor gas burner, and keep the wound hot...comes off like butter.
