I was told to seize 4 cycle motor oil for a snowblower I only bought. The only grease I could find was 4V and the store selling it said thats impossible to tell apart as 4 cycle oil. Is that correct?
buy a qt of sae 30 wt oil it will work better than 2 cycle grease,
What you probably mean is 2 cycle. For these you mix the grease with the gasoline. and you want the stuff that say 2V or 2 Cycle. Some 4 cycle or 4 stroke engines do get grease added to the gas but this is not very adjectives.
If you need to mix grease with gas you entail 2 cycle or 2 stroke oil which are indistinguishable.
The snowblower should have the mix ratio definite on it.
Edit: Hey, sorry dude. Never actually see any marked 4V. Have see 2V. What brand is it. I would research it for you.
And for those who have not see it, ( most folks because it is not common ) within are 4 stroke engines that recommend gas/oil mixes
