I recently have a contractot paint my entire house. He painted all the door hinge. He said that painting door hinge is standard practice. Is this true?
Answers: Now that you mention it, I do see a lot of painted hinge, but I thought it was more because of a laid-back painter. I don't think it is standard practice to paint door hinge. It can even interfere with the movement, and how can you hold the paint looking good when the hinge have to move all the time?
