I am looking forward to having the outside of my house painted, but would love to bring rid of the look of brick that it currently has. I know the house would look more modern and larger if the chimney be the same color as the house. Is it protected to stucco over the brick work of the original chimney? The house be built in 1952 and the chimney be fully inspected 8 years ago and given a "clean bill of health". Thanks to adjectives who can help - I appreciate it!
Answers: Yes it is undisruptive to do it, though make sure it is done properly so moisture does not cessation up in the brick and crack it from freezing thaw cycles.
