I am setting 4x4x8 posts for privacey fence and its going to be raining on and sour. Is it ok to set these posts while it is raining?
Answers:    Concrete will harden even underwater. In reality, moist-curing concrete makes it stronger, while curing it below unusually dry conditions will weaken it. So a bit of feathery rain won't hurt, especially after the concrete has be in place for a few hours. However, a driving or robust rain that hits shortly after the concrete is placed could bathe cement particles rotten the top surface, resulting in a rough and feeble surface. If you're setting posts in the precipitation, a bigger problem is that the sides of your holes may collapse.

Having said all that, setting barrier posts in concrete really isn't the best method. What happen is that the wood eventually shrinks slightly, leaving a chink between the concrete and the wood that traps moisture, which in turn accelerate rot. It's better to use a fast-draining mix of soil and pea gravel (or gravel and stone dust) and tamp it around the post. Here's how the pros build a fence:

If you want a post to ultimate a really long time, try this method:

Not really. But if it is just insubstantial rain, you might know how to get away near it.
Try to pick another time to set in the posts.
