Me and my friends currently had a fire going surrounded by my backyard, we had the fire pit and everything... Then the cops come and told us to put the fire out, because it was a City Ordinance, economically we put the fire out with marine, and didn't even think going on for it. Because when they left we be just going to draw from the fire going again...

Is there any agency to put the fire out, so that we can restart it later using impossible to tell apart logs and twigs?

Answers:    If you cover it with sand it will smother the fire but the coals will remain hot that when you expose them again they will be useable.

well to put fire out completely is to cover it beside a pot. to have any oxygen not capture on, like you can't blow on it or tidal wave a cardboard to put it out because that just creates more oxygen and make the fire bigger.
