Is exposed pink insulation secure? I just moved into an apartment and within the living room closet...

I just moved into an apartment and within the living room closet (the side walls) there is the pink insulation completely exposed.

Is this not dangerous?

Pink insulation is actually pink fiberglass insulation..is exactly as it sounds "fiberglass" spun cup fibers.
Every time you disturb it, you stir up air born particle of glass, which can grounds respiratory problems and throat irritation.
the most obvious sympton you'll experience is itching on your skin from the chalice fibers. If you put clothing in at hand, your clothing will become embedded next to these fibers and your clothes will itch everytime youo wear them.
A simple solution is to cover the insulation with plastic. The correct opening is to have your territory lord correct the unsafe condition by putting up sheet rock to finsh the closet.
