My mobile phone got really wet after have to walk to the car within the pouring rain for miles from the airport, yeah that was fun, but anyway I open it up and dried it off and it worked fine but the battery died so today I go to charge it and it wont turn on,
Could it be the water has soaked surrounded by and destroyed it overnight?
I have it in the hot river cupboard now, which sorted it out after I dropped it in the loo once, but seeing its be like 16 hours since it got raining, is it too late or is there hope that it can sort itself out?
My cell phone went thought the washing gadget (do not attempt) and the battery fell out the machine go again, the battery was surrounded by it and i spent all day blow drying it on low found the mobile and mine lived then it got freezing outside and afterwards died but was still under warranty it's probably gone. do you hold insurance? was it purchased by credit card? you may be covered
I really don't know for sure, but you could try freshly getting a new battery. Before you put it contained by, take it apart as much as you can and use a hair dryer or the sun to dry it out completely.
My husband fell within the river with his and did this and it works fine. The most important entry is to get the battery out as soon as possible and attain the phone dry.
Answers: Well... it depends on the cell phone. Most of the time, it will work if you purloin everything apart and let it dry. But BE PATIENT! Last month I dropped my IPOD shuffle (the new one) within a bucket of water on accident and after two days of drying it didn't work. I tried it today and it works without blemish. Its also cleaner :) My best advice is to get another cell phone, but hold your old one. It will probably come in handy if your fresh one gets wet too :)
