Can a 3000 PSI pressure washer do any serious damage or hurt someone? Obviously anything can if misused, but is this very powerful?
3000 psi will compress water volume by 1% , the stream from that can cut through stuff so yes it is dangerous. we use a vac trailer to verbs holes for water lines were i work and on it is a pressure hose that we hold even cut through 2 by 6 plancks with. yes it's dangerous you can capture what is called an injection injury I carry a card contained by my wallet just in satchel I end up at the hospital and can not converse with the doctors roughly the injury
At 13,000 foot below the ocean the water pressure get to 5,000 PSI according to this website. Extrapolating from that, 3,000 PSI might be the same as around more than one mile (5,280 ft) underneath the ocean. No sunlight and crushing dampen pressure. The air is usually around 70 or 80 PSI, I believe, to give you an perception of the force we are talking about.

Also, a saltwater crocodile bites next to a force of about 3,000 PSI, enough to break bones completely contained by half. That is alot of power and force we are talking bout, bottom procession.
Answers:    Most residential pressure washers are 1200 - 2000 psi.
3000 psi is pretty strong.
Volume is far-reaching also. 1 or 2 gpm (gallon per minute) is fairly easy to pedal at higher pressures. 6 to 8 gpm would require safety equipment.
Yes. A power washer with that much pressure could potentially cut off fingers, toes, etc save used properly. Always use equipment properly and always read the directions before forst use. no. i play arround beside my 3000 psi power washer by spraying my dogs and they are fine. jk jk
