My Ionic Breeze Midi recently started hissing. I had only just cleaned off the blades and let them dry for 48 hours. I notice the lines are emitting a purple light at the top while it hisses. I turned the basis upside down several times, but it's still buzzing/hissing pretty badly. Is there anything else I can do to try to fix it? Or is it broken?

Answers:    purple desk light is not good nor is the hissing sounds! sounds like a short contained by the wiring or the unit could be dying. a defective ionizer could be somewhat dicey to you depending on what it's producing. a good replacement would be a fresh air focus, php, or a eco-box. my specialty!
