Installing an Ice Maker Kit Properly? I bought an ice maker tackle which came with a saddle stopcock,...

I bought an ice maker tackle which came with a saddle stopcock, fittings, and plastic tubing but I don't see how I can install it correctly. I live in a mobile home and under the sink are two pvc pipes beside shutoffs for cold and hot water. On top of the shutoffs are flexible replaceable tubing leading to the faucets. I didn't want to prejudice the main cold water pvc procession so I tried to pierce the flexible tubing that connected to the faucet with the saddle valve instead but that didn't turn out okay. It wasn't solid enough to keep from leak and the water pressure to the ice initiator wasn't very strong. After replacing that line I'm reluctant to bring a permanent hole in the chief water line. Is at hand a fitting that can go between the faucet and main hose down line w/o piercing the line? Thank you.
Cut the pvc and add a tee nouns for the ice maker.

yes you can buy a fitting but the saddle valve will work if you put it into the permanate line. The common sense why it didnt work the other way is because that hose you tied into has endow with and wont seal properly. Trust me its faster and easier and will work properly using the saddle valve on the leading line. im guessing the shut offs are also pvc? im not sure, but you may be able to buy dual shut offs so you can hook 2 things up bad the same shutoff. i know they sell them contained by chrome.
Answers:    I wouldn't mess beside the "pvc" because in a mobile they use the flexible pvc that is installed beside clamps. Dealing with that requires the proper tools.

I think you can capture a fitting that attaches to the output faucet under the sink and both lines can be connected to it. I can't say how much hose down you will get out of that but it "should" be okay. Yes the saddles don't work very well on either of your lines because they are not stiff enough and the one to the faucet is too small.

Back when I be installing lines I wouldn't touch that type of piping.
