I'm going to be fine art my front door of my home which is metal and it's going to be just about indistinguishable color... do i still need to prime it? I will be doing...

do i still need to prime it? I will be doing some lighting sanding but will i still involve to prime? And which is better oil substructure or latex?
Answers:    No need to prime, unless you want to own a stain blocker to play it safe.

If you own a latex paint on the door now, you have need of to continue next to latex. You can paint latex over oil, but not over latex.

Make sure door is completely dry back closing, especially if you have charming weatherstripping. The magnetic weatherstripping will verbs the paint off.
If you own a metal door chances are it is not latex paint on it. If you paint over it in need using a primer it will peel stale and will not look good.
