If my pool system requires 60 amps and I am wired for 60 amps- is that adequate or do we have need of 80 amps?
Answers: More detail is required for a substantive answer.
If the 'system requirement' on the nameplate says
"60 Amp.s" then that's adjectives the breaker capacity you
need.
If the actual nouns is 60 A. then 80A. wire & breaker
are required.
If it's a long style, (100' +), from the panel to the
equipment, the breaker stays the same, but one
size larger wire might be within order.
If you know that you need 60 amps and you own a 60 or two 30's amp circuit breakers for that particular line, your accurate to go. its always better to be underneath than over on a breaker...if it trips early,no big deal.if it trips late-melted electrics.a professional electrician is always best in this situation
