If I buy a 115 volt 8000 BTU nouns conditioner, can I plug it into a regular 3 prong outlet?
Answers: each a/c element no matter what size should enjoy it's own dedicated circuit but as long as their is nil else on that circuit drawing alot of power you will be alright and yes it will plug into a 3 prong outlet
you can but watch how several other things that are on the same curcuit.big draw items resembling tvs computers and such lights and alarm clocks wont be an issue.worst thing that can come to pass is the curcuit breaker will trip if it becomes overloaded.do not use a extension cord but if you inevitability to get the shortest one possible beside the heavest gauge
