the pilot light will not stay on it will street lamp then go out after a few minutes sometimes it will make a loud buzzing din, bloody typical that it gone on the blink now as my mate who¡¯s an manufacture is away fishing in France, anyone get any ideas apart from waiting till he get back
Answers: It is any the fan or the gas spigot at a guess, if it is more a rumble than a buzz, and is after maybe partly hour, could be the expansion valve (overheat cause pressure release), but that would usually send the boiler to lockout.
Maybe replace the thermocouple?? I would move about to the Ideal website, view the encyclopaedia for that boiler and run through the fault finding guide. xx
