Answers: You 'll enjoy to remove it.Be careful though. There are 2 types of spouts. There is the threaded type and the non threaded.
Before attempting to remove it check for a lock which is located inside the spout.Under the spout you'll find a small first performance for the access to the lock. It is usually a hexagonal thing. You'll own to use an ALLEN KEY. If you can't see the opening afterwards you feel it next to a finger .Once the lock is loose you can turn it counter clockwise.If it is the threaded type then it will be out effortless. Apply a slight pull to appropriate it out. Don't pull too concrete or the copper pipes could suffer some leaks. Good luck!!
The vital dimension if the pipe size. Your very best bet is to remove the tub spout. A strap wrench is best but you can also use wrenches especially since you will be replacing the spout. Take the spout to a do it yourself plumbing shop and return with their help. The untried spout plus pipe nipple (usually 1/2" npt or 3/4" npt) must equal the length of the spout/ nipple combination you are removing and be the correct pipe size. Sometimes spouts are slipped directly over copper tubing and that take a special replacement spout but that is few and far between.
