All of the techs that I have call said it is in the housing. I replced the gasket and I hold NO water leak anywhere. It just won't prime anymore. It worked for a week and afterwards it just wouldn't prime. It starts to teem up and then it flushes into the filter.

Answers:    Have you tried to force prime the pump? Take your garden hose and hold it surrounded by the hole in the bottom of the skimmer. Wrap a scarf around the hose to force all the sea to the pump. Do this with the pump on. If you can get hold of it going at all next the next step would be to shut sour the pump and see if any water squirts out of anywhere around the pump. If you see hose coming out right when it is shut off next that is where on earth the air is getting within. Also I would consider replacing the shaft seal on the pump. If the housing be cracked the pump would either prime and squirt when running or you would know how to see water running out when you flood the pump pot with the hose. My guess is its a shaft stamp.
