It is as though it is blocked, and the plug will only turn half passageway in. How do I overcome this problem?
Answers: Just replace the socket for god sake they cost something like 2 quid,get somebody competent though(electrican should cost 20 quid at the most its a five minute job)
Get it replaced. They are very cheap.
