I Am thinking of buying a gas stove with Electric start. I know i want to get someone to come and unhook and hook up the gas stove. But do i have need of to get an Electriction also??
Answers:    All modern gas stoves use an electric wall outlet to run timers, etc.even tons older stoves would. So, you've probably get a wall outlet already behind your existing stove. If you do, afterwards you do not need an electrician, because adjectives they will have to do, is unplug the ancient one, and plug in the clean one... much like you would a vacuum cleaner, or table kerosene lamp.

As far as the gas line go... all they will do, is turn sour the gas (usually there is a shut rotten valve right nearby behind the stove), unscrew the flexible string from the back of the stove... consequently apply a little teflon cassette to the threads on the back of the tentative stove, and reconnect the flexible line. Finally, check it for leak... I use a spray bottle with rather soapy water myself. If the flexible splash is damaged or kinked, after I replace it too.

Fairly straightforward, and easy to do. something that most homeowners could do themselves if they needed to. you're not running any new lines.

Now... if for some root, there is no wall outlet down the stove, then you'd involve an electrician to have a circuit run from the panel box to the wall. The electrician would install a breaker contained by the circuit panel box, run new line, and install a wall outlet with cover. If it's unproblematic to run it under the floor, it might transport all of an hour to do.

Have Fun
Not if there's an outlet astern the stove.
