I hold a soak from below the tub to the crypt everything is dry but faucet is dripping hose contained by the tubHELP

Answers:    Fill the tub to the top of the overflow. Have an assistant below with a stepladder and a flashlight to watch for leak.

I am guessing water is dripping from the spout and running along spout stub-out, through hole surrounded by wall and down to your basement. I'd replace the spout (o-ring worn out or worn) and caulk the hole through the wall before installing the spout.

if tub is old-fashioned, it may need a overflow washer, also look at faucet where on earth it meets wall, is it caulked? Those are 99% of tub to room below leak
