I own an Everstar Portable A/C ( MPM1-10CR-BB6)? The manual is not very clear on when to crawl it with...

The manual is not very clear on when to crawl it with water and when not to put flood it with water.
My request for information is... Do you fill it with sea when using the AC Mode? Do you only fill it when using the humidifier mode? The almanac says fill beside water when using "cooling mode".
There's a hole within my floor (pic included)?
Answers:    You only steep it when using the humidifier mode. When air is heated, it can absorb more wet vapor.
