Two holes were drilled for an alarm system that we took out, and they're in the order of the size of half dollars. The other hole is around the size of a light switch plate. How do I fix them confidently?
Get some spackle from the store (it's cheap) and a putty wound. It may take a couple of coats, but you should be capable of repair it well adequate.
put stickers over them :)
or posters.

Answers: While you have received some excellent answers ,and most are correct, this is by far the easiest style to fix the holes you have contained by you wall. I can't remember who the manufacturers are,but that doesn't thing,as they are still carried in most of the Hardware Stores. They are squares of an assortment of sizes,(and a variety pack also) of drywall, that enjoy an extremely strong adhesive cassette on each side. You a moment ago cut the hole in the wall ,the size of the square (use a drywall saw, give or take a few $4.99, or even a single hacksaw blade 18T $1.99) Then pull the approval from the tape, and put into place. When done, the repair piece is flush against the wall. You only just use some Spackle,to go over the video, Prime, then paint. All done! Now, merely to let you know, you must prime since you paint,if you don't the Spackle will show through every time. Byee (I don't know any store that sells small pcs. of drywall, you own to buy the whole sheet)
