every time we dusted it comes right back it accumlates more within the kitchen around the ceiling fan and within one of the bedrooms around that ceiling fan.
I agree near the posters about shifting your air filter. Also, if this is an on going problem, consider have a better filtration system installed on your Heat/AC system. Or have your ductwork cleaned.
I guess you are present near any factory which could make any dust or hard by the busy traffic road.
solution is to clean the house regularly and heaps times a day.

Answers: Change your furnace filter presently... dust and vaccuum very okay, change it again. Then conversion it every 3-4 weeks tops.
Some option for reducing the level of dust that don't include tear up carpet or buying adjectives new furniture:
1) Buy one of those stand-alone nouns filter units and put it surrounded by the room living room or the room where you see the most dust. You can buy them within most home improvement stores. Here is the one from Sharper Image: http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalo... . This one have a removable tray so you don't have to keey buying filter.
2) Get a robot vacuum to keep dust sour your floors. Because it's a robot, you can have it going when you are at work. You will be surprised how much dirt that point picks up.
3) Use furniture polish for dusting (Pledge) or use a mix of (1:10) water to stuff softener. Fabric softener has charged particle in it that repel other particle (that's how you get rid of static cling!) or try dusting next to a dryer sheet or those disposable cloths they make for dusting - same dust repelling effect.
4) Change the filter on your main air conditioning part and furnace more often (I swing mine monthly).
This will not eliminate dust, but you should see a clear difference in how long it take the dust to come back.
Have all your carpet professionally cleaned. Hoover round everyday.
Cotton can create a lot of dust so perchance change a few things to polyester mix.
Good luck.
