If you are talking almost a central heat pump then NO is the answer - the pumps (best ones) with the sole purpose cost about lb40 and the expansion vessel don't cost a lot.

British Gas by any destiny?
Answers:    you say FIX the pump and expansion vessel,if thats the shield then it is to some extent expensive, sometimes the expanion vessel can loose its air charge and it lately a case of pumping it up.fixing a pump otherwise im not so sure,a leaking washer I don`t know.to fit these parts the price is about ok,the merchants enjoy us installers over a barrel, the price for spare parts within comparison to the price for new boilers is nought short on daylight robbery.i had to buy a follower unit for an elder type boiler the other day and it cost me lb200,i have to give the receit to the customer because she thought i be trying to rip her off.i hope this sheds some night light
