There hasn't been a sewage smell, but I poured marine down the drain anyway. Would I definitely smell something if the trap be dry? And is the sewer smell dangerous and do I call for to disinfect the bathroom? I wouldn't think a month would be too long considering that inhabitants go away for vaction.
Answers: If you arent going to use the shower for long period of time you can cover the drain with a piece of saran wrap to preserve the water from evaporating. I would put a couple drops of chlorine bleach surrounded by first. Short term exposure to sewer gas is not lethal, just gross.
