My window AC unit drips the condensed hose down outside but my wall unit does not. Is this water collecting somewhere cause the swampy smell? How do I get rid of it? How do I prevent it in the adjectives?
It's probably mold inside the actual unit. I would hire someone to come take it apart and verbs it, which need to be done several times a year anyway. You are going to have to put the atmosphere condition on a pitch so the water drains properly
You didn't tell us much something like YOUR unit they are not all matching.
Most units these days hold marine all the time. They have a leash around the rear fan call a "slinger" that picks up the water and throws it against the hot coils evaporating it. This improves the value particularly in indisputable hot weather because an a/c unit uses the outside air to cool. This make it "water cooled" to an extent.
But that water will stay within there long past when you use it until it drys out. That promotes growth. More imagined algae than mold.
The unit likely wishes to be pulled out of the case and cleaned. This should be done at times anyway to clean the reverse coil for efficiency. They also sell treatment for a/c's to prevent algae growth.
My topical window unit have a plug that can be removed to allow the water to drain for high humidity areas. I don't know if you wall section has that option.
Good Luck.
Answers: Definitely mold. You will want to clean that out.
you have a clogged weep tube (the little hole or straw sticking out the final of the unit) chances are you have some algae
growing contained by there. once the weep hole is cleared the smell should
dissipate . other clean filters formerly summer
I'm for a time confused. Do you have a window section and a wall unit. What is a wall unit?
Sounds resembling you need to clean the part and check and clean the drain. If you have a fanlight unit through the wall. You need to remove it, verbs good, use coil cleaner on the coils, put the unit spinal column in at an angle so the water drains down mound. Make sure you keep the filter clean. I thank I would check the filter or filter of both units
thay may need to be clened
and look at the finns of the section if thay have lint on thim
