we live in a modular home which is already finished and have a full basement and i be thinking about tally in floor warmness and my question is can i a short time ago secure the tubing to the bottom of the subfloor i know most contained by floor tubing is laid down then a emaciated layer of mortar or doesn`t matter what it is called is put over the top but will the mode i described work, also we heat or home next to an outdoor wood boiler so it heats next to hot water
Answers:    yes you can do a staple up installation. They bring in special heat panel that the tubing runs in and help reflect the bake up.You then insulate after them to back even more. You will also have to install a mixing stopcock on the system to drop the water for the floor down to the right temp. This install is expensive and labor intensive.
it will work but you enjoy to think give or take a few how much you floor is going to be raised and you may have need of a separate heating element.
