i took it out, and when i did, the metal part it still connected to the socket...how do i take it sour? i tried using my hands..no luck

IMPORTANT! Make sure the power to the light is off. Use a double act of bull nose pliers (square end, not pointy) and turn the basis. Do not just twist but fairly turnto unscrew.If it is bayonette cap then do like peas in a pod but push and turn. MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF! PREFERABLE AT THE FUSE BOX IF YOURE NOT SURE.
