I hold a fluorescent double round tube ceiling fixture that haphazardly flashes a bright white street light, any accepted wisdom?

i have one of these lights in my kitchen the bulbs are hard to find and not cheap . move about to your local builder supply and replace with new fixture it will be cheaper within the long run.

If it has a separate starter on it the starter could be going bleak and it is trying to start the bulb every now and then.

Or the bulb could be getting skinny and the same thing happen, it thinks it is going out and tries to start it with a flash of voltage.

That is my guess.
Answers:    It could be lose and might just need to be screwed posterior in. or you might have to replace it soon because it's on its concluding leg. Hope that helps!
