Don't know for sure what stores you looked contained by for the filter element, but I'd venture it probably be something like a large dept. store. Try the Yellow Pages and look for a store that sell and services vacuums, they'll have your part. I probably hold one in my store, but I doubt we're close enough that you'd want to drive here. I'm surrounded by SW Lower Mi.

Answers:    Search Dirt Devil filter online, also E-bay. Funny circumstance to purchase a new vacuum and a year or so later the filter and plenty arent sold a same store. You keep up the good work Wal-Mart!!
