and smoking. I put oil contained by it which i checked before i started it and it be clean and full. Now when i try to cut soaring grass, it knocks and blows grease out the crankcase. Could it need crankshaft bearing or rings. I might be able to repair it past it blows up. I can't really afford to buy another one right now or I would enjoy bought a new one to set off with. I own worked on Briggs and Stratton before, but I'm not sure what type engine this one has- possibly tecumseh I don't know. Any suggestions.
Answers: hmmm. You said it knocked when it warm up and then said it knock under nouns. I'm not sure it is the same piece. I have see knocking cause by a sheared key on the flywheel throwing the timing stale a little. Sometimes when they hit something that push button can shear and the flywheel moves.
A bent crankshaft is common too, from hitting stuff.
I suppose you got burned. There is usually solitary one reason to put on the market your old mower. Because it is old-fashioned and wore out. Sorry.
