Any suggestions to what I can pour down the drain to fix the problem?
Answers: Have someone take this trap apart. It's probably to a degree clogged with fuzz and ugly muck. I enjoy to clean our daughters hip bath room sink trap once a year. She has long mane and it just stays near and builds up muck.
My wife's sink gets clogged a moment or two but not as bad since I suggested she run hot river in it at lowest once a day. Cold sea doesn't really dissolve very resourcefully.
If you seen the muck I help yourself to out of our daughters sink trap... you would know why plumbers get remunerated so well. It's a dirty livelihood.
I'm not fond of putting chemicals in drains. Some can hurt pipes and destroy the germs in a septic system.
If this smelly drain is contained by a bathroom not used normally you may have a dry drain. Long story short a drain is supposed to 'trap' and hang on to water surrounded by it. It is the water that stops the sewer gasses from entering your living nouns and causing the complaint within your question. If it is a dry drain issue after all you stipulation to do is pour some water within it occasionally. Try to add hose approx. 1x a week or as needed to suppress the smell.
