I estimate at "low" it still consumes 1000 watts/hr so that will be 24 hrs x 1 = 24 KWH per afternoon.

@ .15/KWH that would be $3.60/day or $108 for 30 days.

It might. I'm using one as well but since I'm not paying the electric bill, I don't enjoy to worry.
