Answers: The people that manufactured your item, put a light coating of grease on it to keep it from rusting on the shelf. This is tremendously common, and will disapate within few minutes. If it doesn't, remove the cover and take a look. Be sure a line or lint didn't come in contact near it.
yes the dust is just burning bad the element it should jump away after a few moments Just keep an eye on it to brand sure it does.
