the unit works fine during the night, next during the day the outside unit runs roughly a minute or two then turns off for a few second and turns rihgt back on. this continues the whole daylight until the breaker jumps.
Answers: High head pressure most potential.(Dirty coil,bad fan ,over charged) Other cause could be a bad contactor or a weak compressor internal overload,impossible potential relay,or a bad start or run capacitor.
Is the big cooling fan higher than the unit running? If it isn't then the refrigerant heat will get too high and do it to short cycle.
This could also be caused by low refrigerant levels, but it is smaller number likely due to you mentioning it is fine at night.
