My home is a single story with one HVAC element. The unit itself is give or take a few six years old and the compressor be replaced last year. What would end in my condenser inside the house to freeze up? This morning I had to turn the fry on to defrost it. When the AC blows, it is cold. Any ideas?
Answers: I agree that it is insufficient nouns flow.
Dirty filter, dirty blower, cooling fan speed too low, or restrictive or over filter.
Beyond that it could be a mismatch and the compressor is too big for the evaporator. But the proper expansion valve should control that and it would run checking pressures to determine that.
Good Luck
Disclaimer first.. "I'm not an expert", but I had a similar situation once. I believe most unit / thermostats have a suspension that allows air to run through the condenser after the compressor shuts stale to prevent freezer. I replaced my thermostat with a programmable one and haven't have the problem in a few years.
Hmmm. another thought. Restricted nouns (dirty filter or condensor) could limit airflow and result contained by system freezing.
