We just have a new internal A/C system installed. The outside unit sits on the other side of our kitchen wall. When within the kitchen I can hear a low resonating hum. I don't hear it anywhere else in the house. At first I thought it be just the follower noise coming from the section. But, when I listen between the side of the unit and the outside wall (below the admirer noise) I can hear the low hum that I'm hearing inside. It sounds similar to it comes from the compressor. Is this just mundane operating sounds that are making it through the wall or could something repairable be the problem?
gizmoe is correct..one other thing to check if you are using black plastic frame cleanable filter throw them out and buy disposable filters..hold seen them stop adequate airflow to strain compressors

Well most compressors make some clamour. Some louder than others.
Put your ear to your refridgerator when it is actually activate.
Is this a similar sound?

That nouns is also a compressor.
Answers:    It might be compressor noise anyone transmitted through the refrigerant lines. The liquid ( uninsulated ) flash is usually the culprit, it may be strapped too tightly or in direct contact next to the structure.
Let the installer know about your concern and they should be capable of correct it.
